I read a post by Nomadic Matt the other day. It got me thinking about my own travel goals, and I found myself asking: what places do I want to visit by the time I’m 35?
Although I plan to visit more than seven places in the next ten years, I know that if I focus on seven travel goals – and am intentional about going to those places these upcoming years – I will actually do it, instead of getting overwhelmed by how many places I want to see.
So, listed below are the seven places we plan to visit in the next ten years. What about you? Where are seven places you want to visit in the next ten years? Leave a comment below and let us know.
1. Europe
I’d love to visit all of Europe eventually, and I’d like to cram as much in on my first visit as possible. The places in Europe I definitely hope to see on my first visit are: Italy, Austria, Amsterdam, Switzerland, England, and Greece. Ideally, this trip would be a 4-6 week trip.
2. Israel
[COMPLETED – February 2018]
Israel has immense significance to the Christian faith. I would love to travel to Israel and visit the places Jesus walked and see this beautiful country.
3. Road Trip Through Southwest Colorado and Utah
[COMPLETED – October 2013]
Thankfully, we accomplished this travel goal in the Fall of 2013 with some of our close friends. This was an amazing trip. I highly recommend road tripping through Colorado and Utah; both states are incredibly beautiful.
4. Alaska
Alaska seems like a totally awesome place, and my friends who’ve been there say it’s amazing. I hope to take a cruise here with my wife soon.
5. RV through British Columbia and Alberta, Canada
After visiting Vancouver, Whistler, and other parts of British Columbia two summers ago, I’m determined to go back to Canada asap! It was gorgeous out there. My good friends tell me Banff, Jasper, and other parts of British Columba and Alberta Canada are spectacular. Judging from the pictures I’ve seen, I’d say they are right.
6. Grand Canyon and Utah Road Trip
We have friends in Salt Lake City, Utah, as well as in Arizona. One trip my wife and I plan to make is to fly into Salt Lake City, visit our friends, and road trip down Utah into Arizona to see our other friends. We’d love to see Zion National Park, the Grand Canyon, and other epic places along the way as well.
7. India
Being 50% Indian (my mom was born in New Dehli) and having truckloads of family in India, I’d love to go visit this country. In the future, my wife and I would love to help start businesses, schools, and an aftercare estate for men, women, and children; to equip them to change their lives and communities for better. Plus, I also hear that India is stunning.
So those are my seven travel goals to reach by age 35. What about you? What places do you want to visit in the next ten years? Leave a comment and let us know!

I thought you made a book about travel hacking- i should have downloaded it then (from my email subscription). Do you still have that or is it in a 3 day course now?
