Have you ever gone through a hard season in life, where you just wanted things to change and be different?
I remember high school feeling like an eternity, sitting in class and wondering, “will this ever end?”
But then I graduated, and it felt like those four years flew by.
I remember when my dog Jesse died, and the pain my family and I felt was much more intense than we thought it would be.
But my family cried and grieved, and although we still feel heartache when we think about our memories with Jesse, we’ve found peace, joy, and healing in it all.
I remember working my first full time job after college, and hating coming into work because of how poorly I was treated by management.
But then my marketing business grew, and eventually, I was able to quit my job and work for myself full time.
All seasons end or evolve
All seasons of life end or evolve into something better. And after a season ends, it often feel like it went by fast. A season of life can feel incredibly long when you’re in the midst of it, but incredibly short after it ends.
The season we’re currently in won’t last forever.
If you’re in a good season: Be sure to enjoy it, be grateful, learn, and make the most of it, because when you transition into the next season, you may miss the previous one more than you realize.
If you’re in a bad season: Know that better times are to come. You may still carry scars and wounds into the next season, but you will have peace and joy amidst the pain. God will bring healing to your heartache, if you invite him to do so.
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: ” – Ecclesiastes 3:1 (ESV)
The days are long, but the years are short.” – Gretchen Rubin
Be encouraged, stay hopeful. This season will end or evolve into something better.
